About JIIG-CAL Australia Pty Ltd
Our first product, Career Voyage, was carefully developed over many years in a joint venture between JIIG-CAL
Australia and Edinburgh University's Career Research Centre. Edinburgh contributed contributed more than $18
million over 17 years
towards the original version of Career Voyage, called J.I.I.G. Job Information & Ideas Generator. JIIG-CAL
Australia came into existence in the early 1990's. It was able to build on the wealth of research and development
work from the UK. In 1991, JIIG-CAL Australia in concert with the Career Research Centre launched the first
fully Australian system. This was a great success, with a wide range of career practitioners recognising the
value of the system for their clients.
Today we have representatives and users throughout Australia and New Zealand. Our three software programs are
updated at least annually and used by career practitioners in schools, universities, TAFE colleges, government
departments, rehabilitation and companies as well as by private consultants.
As part of its commitment to professional development in Australia and New Zealand, JIIG-CAL Australia conducts
compulsory one-day acceditation workshops for career practitioners in the use of the Career Voyage software.
These workshops are conducted at various locations on a demand basis. We also conduct flexible learning online
workshops.
